Everyone’s in the band during the Drum-n-Rum playshop in Midtown Raleigh. Your guide is award-winning teaching artist Greg Whitt, founder of the Raleigh Drum Circle and owner of Raleigh’s first business focused on connection, culture, and wellness through music: Drum For Change.
This monthly experiential and cultural immersion features a curated listening experience highlighting music of the Caribbean played on conga drums, a sampling of most-excellent rums, and a hands-on drumming lesson using barrel drums, shakers, scrapers, and cowbells from Latin musical traditions.
