Art for LGBTQ+ Rights is an inclusive and empowering workshop tailored for LGBTQ+ individuals and allies led by local artists TJ Mundy and Shady Kimzey.
Workshop participants will dive into various forms of mixed-media expression, discussing art centered around identity, culture, politics, and LGBTQ+ experiences. Additionally, you will explore LGBTQ+ art outlets, support groups, and learn how to submit socially engaged art. Emphasizing inclusivity and the value of diverse voices, this workshop celebrates the creativity and contributions of LGBTQ+ artists while fostering a supportive environment where everyone can engage in the transformative power of art.
Artspace, your host for this event, is a non-profit visual arts center located in Downtown Raleigh. Visit Artspace for a multitude of exhibitions featuring national and local artists and to enjoy a community of more than 35 artists working in studio, artists in residence, and to find other art classes for all ages and abilities.
