An Evening Picking Flowers – Garden Tour & Floral Arrangement Workshop

October 17 @ 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm

$49.00

Idyllic, I think is the word, for picking flowers, contemplating colors, enjoying a cold drink, and sharing some homemade ice cream…

In collaboration with Wrenn’s Farm:

Christina began growing cut flowers four years ago after finishing her horticulture degree at NC State. She started with a single row of zinnias, all of which sold very quickly, and since then she’s increased her production to over an acre of flowers!

Christina and her husband Austin Wrenn now grow ornamental flowers in rows, using also a greenhouse and a high tunnel full of beautiful blooms. The couple has turned the family farm in Zebulon into a full-time job, alternating between strawberry and flower seasons throughout the year. In the summertime, you’d find zinnias, snapdragons, dahlias, celosia, cosmos, sunflowers, and more.

Come spend your evening with Christina, exploring her beautiful garden and delighting in the special joy of picking and preparing flowers to your heart’s content. The workshop begins with a farm tour, followed by a session of gathering blooms. Christina will then guide you through arranging and caring for ornamental flowers, which you’ll get to take home. We’ll conclude the experience with sunset refreshments and delicious homemade ice cream from the farm.

All you’ll need to bring is a pair of close-toed shoes! Please note that bees may be pollinating the farm at this time.
