Spooky Halloween Beer and Cider Stroll – Discovering Cary’s Watering Holes

October 19 @ 1:00 pm - 3:30 pm

$49.00

Explore Downtown Cary and its beverage options on this beer and cider stroll!

We’ll meet at Bond Brothers Beer Co. for a 1:00 beer tasting at this favorite local watering hole. Across the street, we’ll taste ciders and learn about the history of Bull City Ciderworks, which now has five taprooms across North Carolina.

Finally, we’ll wander over to the Bark Bar in the new Downtown Cary Park to sample their list of classic North Carolina brewed beers. Because the park is part of a “social district,” you’ll have the option of carrying your glass with you as you explore the park on your own.

Along the way, you’ll learn about the history of Cary and some of its downtown attractions, including the park.  Hint: Did you know that the Town of Cary was named for a temperance leader from Ohio? The tour will include 2-3 tastings at each venue. Throughout the tour, you’ll learn about North Carolina’s craft beer industry and what makes these Cary establishments unique.

Your guide is Natalie Hampton, owner of Taps & Corks Tours. Natalie has been writing about North Carolina beer and wine for 12 years on the Tarheel Taps & Corks blog. She enjoys sharing her passion for North Carolina beer through walking tours, and always looks forward to fall seasonal beers and ciders.

Note: You must be 21 to participate. Tour is rain or shine. Wear good shoes for walking and clothing appropriate for the weather – we’ll be outside for at least part of our exploration. Total walking distance is just over half a mile. Plan to arrive at the brewery 10 minutes early to park at the venue and locate the group.
