This workshop—led by Night Owl Iron Works—offers the chance to learn basic forging techniques and create a lasting, functional product. Night Owl Iron Works, renowned for its focus on functionality and craftsmanship, has grown its artistry, fueled by a renewed interest in this historic craft.
Founder Jordon Jackson will personally guide you through the Forge Your Own J-Hook workshop, starting with a lesson on foundational forging techniques. Following the group instruction, each participant will have one-on-one time at the forge to craft their own piece. Sessions are divided into time slots, with each lasting 10 minutes and accommodating two participants at a time. By the end of the workshop, you’ll leave with a fully finished, usable J-hook, perfect for both indoor and outdoor use.
While waiting for your turn at the forge, feel free to explore Cherry Mountain Farm, visit the general store, or grab a bite from a local food truck!
On the same day, from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM, Night Owl will be offering a Forge Your Own Horseshoe Knife workshop, with 30-minute time slots available. To secure your spot, please click here.
