Beer and Cider Stroll – Discovering Whitaker Mill’s Watering Holes

$50.00

Cool off with Taps & Corks Tours, with tasting stops at two Whitaker Mill watering holes – Lynnwood Brewing Concern and East Bower Cider Co. We’ll meet at Lynnwood Brewing Concern for a beer tasting and light appetizers, and then walk about a block to East Bower Cider Co., Raleigh’s first cidery, where we’ll taste cider. If the weather is good, we’ll spend some time on the patio. Afterward, you can explore the area on your own. Along the way, you’ll learn about the history of craft beer in Raleigh and North Carolina. Did you know that Whitaker Mill was once a munitions factory for the Confederacy? Come on the tour and find out more!

Your guide is Natalie Hampton, owner of Taps & Corks Tours. Natalie has been writing about North Carolina beer and wine for 12 years on the Tarheel Taps & Corks blog. She enjoys sharing her passion for North Carolina beer through walking tours and always looks forward to seasonal beers and ciders.

Note: You must be 21 to participate. Tour is rain or shine. Wear good shoes for walking and clothing appropriate for the weather – we’ll be outside for at least part of our exploration. Plan to arrive at the brewery 10-15 minutes early to park at Loading Dock. Parking can be challenging!
