Beer and Cider Stroll – Discovering Cary’s Watering Holes

January 11, 2025 @ 1:00 pm - 3:30 pm

$53.00

Explore Downtown Cary and its beverage options on this beer and cider stroll!

Many folks have adopted the tradition of “Dry January,” taking a break from alcoholic beverages the month after the holidays. If you plan to practice being dry in January, have we got a tour for you! We’ll visit our usual stops in Cary – Bond Brothers Beer Co. and Bull City Ciderworks – but you’ll have the option of choosing from their selection of non-alcoholic beverages, ranging from non-alcoholic beer to mocktails to soft drinks, if that’s your preference.

Not participating in “Dry January?” No worries – you can still taste from the beers at Bond Brothers, then enjoy the pour of your choosing. We’ll also taste several ciders at the ciderworks across the street. When you register, please indicate your preference for a “dry” or “wet” tour, but know you can still change your mind at the tour.

We’ll meet first at Bond Brothers Beer, 202 E Cedar St, Cary, and then move on to Bull City Ciderworks. After our tasting, we’ll head for the popular Downtown Cary Park, where you can opt to purchase your own drink as we stroll through the park – a social district – and enjoy the scenery.

Your guide is Natalie Hampton, owner of Taps & Corks Tours. Natalie has been writing about North Carolina beer and wine for 12 years on the Tarheel Taps & Corks blog. She enjoys sharing her passion for North Carolina beer through walking tours, and always looks forward to fall seasonal beers and ciders.

Note: You must be 21 to participate. Tour is rain or shine. Wear good shoes for walking and clothing appropriate for the weather – we’ll be outside for at least part of our exploration. Plan to arrive at the brewery 10 minutes early to park at the venue and locate the group.
