Spooky Halloween Beer and Cider Stroll

You’ll spend the afternoon in the Whitaker Mill neighborhood visiting two beverage venues that produce beer and cider. The tour will include tastings at each venue. As we go along, you’ll learn about North Carolina’s craft beer industry, and what makes these Raleigh establishments unique.
We’ll meet at the Lynnwood Brewing Concern taproom, 1053 E Whitaker Mill Rd., Raleigh, for our first tasting and light appetizers. Then, we’ll visit Raleigh’s first cidery to taste ciders made from local apples. The brewery and cidery will have fall seasonal selections to enjoy.
Did you know that not far from this neighborhood, nearly 300 local residents are buried in a grave with one marker? Learn that story and more spooky history as you make your way between the two locations.
Your guide is Natalie Hampton, owner of Taps & Corks Tours. Natalie has been writing about North Carolina beer and wine for 12 years on the Tarheel Taps & Corks blog. She enjoys sharing her passion for North Carolina beer through walking tours.
Note: You must be 21 to participate. Tour is rain or shine. Wear good shoes for walking and clothing appropriate for the weather – we’ll be outside for at least part of our exploration. Plan to arrive at the brewery 10-15 minutes early to park at Loading Dock and locate the group. Parking can be challenging, so plan accordingly.
Feel free to wear your Halloween costume – not required!
