The Dowtown Raleigh Play Date takes discovering your city to another level. Who knew you could frolic inside of an urban landscape? Neesy has been doing it for years and now invites you to throw paper airplanes in Bicentennial Park, enjoy the best macaroni and cheese in the state, or ring a replica of the Liberty Bell, all with a focus on discovery and fun!
The play date features an exploration of Downtown Raleigh’s hidden gems through games like adult freeze tag or paper airplane competitions and will include shopping and giveaways featuring local establishments. Also, for the social media enthusiasts, you get to tell all of your friends about your amazing adventures while Vlogging on Fayetteville Street at the Original Selfie Museum!
A little about your guide: Neesy Green first fell in love with bright lights in little old New Bern, North Carolina. Now, she shares her own light in the big bold City of Raleigh! An entertainer since childhood, Neesy has appeared on the Oprah Winfrey Show, danced for the NC A&T Band, accomplished a 20 year career in banking, and given Taste Carolina Gourmet Food Tours for years. Her experience and deep community roots make her the perfect person to help you discover some of the most wonderful and unexpected pieces of downtown Raleigh.
