Composting is one of the easiest and most powerful tools in fighting global warming…
In collaboration with Raleigh City Farm…
May is composting month! And using compost is a fabulous way to make your garden more productive and green up your lawn. Come spend some time with lifelong composter, Julie Moore, Administrative Coordinator of the NC Composting Council and Compost Team Leader at the Raleigh City Farm and she will answer the question of “What’s so great about composting?”
What does it do for the soil? How does it alleviate climate change? How does it increase biodiversity? And much more.
In this workshop you’ll learn what can be composted, how to make compost and how to use compost on your lawn or garden. We’ll do some myth busting, and problem solving and discuss resources you can utilize at home or in your office. You’ll go home empowered to bring your soil to life and draw down carbon with very little effort.
