We are excited to announce Sonlight Farms Sweet Potato Day! Join the folks at Sonlight for a fun filled day with plenty of activities such as free give-aways for kids, free samples of sweet potatoes, the chance to meet Spencer the Sweet Potato, and other activities at the farm.
Just in case you did not know, sweet potatoes are North Carolina’s state vegetable and produces 70% of the United State’s sweet potatoes! They are known as a super food because they are filled with so many vitamins and minerals. Come out and learn more about what makes them such a special aspect of NC produce.
