There is a fascinating world of plants all around us, if only we know where to look…
In Collaboration with Colfax Creek Farm:
Join us at Colfax for a fascinating farm tour and a wild herb walk.
Botanist Abby Artemisia is an herbalist and foraging educator. She will be leading our walk through the fields at Colfax Creek Farm identifying edible plants and medicinal herbs for participants to learn about.
Afterwards, Colfax Creek Farm owners Nicole and Aaron will be leading a tour to showcase their pasture raised pork, beef and poultry operation. They will have product available for purchase!
The Colfax Family farm has been in operation since 1901, today they raise the finest 100% grass-fed beef, pastured pork, and pasture raised poultry all while focusing on producing healthy foods, raising happy animals, and caring for their land. The farming program works with nature, not against it and the cattle live happily and express their natural behaviors. In turn, they provide us with healthy food and help improve the environment.
The Colfax folks cannot wait to educate you on different types of pork, beef, and poultry while you learn about their unique sustainable agriculture needs. Please bring a blanket or chairs to sit and enjoy the farm. Guests are definitely encouraged to bring lunch and picnic with us.
