Get creative (and cozy) with Wrenn’s Farms as you make your own wreath using all-natural, locally-sourced greenery while sipping on a hot beverage and listening to fun holiday tunes…
In collaboration with Wrenn’s Farms…
Christina Wrenn began growing cut flowers 4 years ago after finishing her Horticulture degree from NC State. She started with a single row of zinnias, all of which sold very quickly, and over the past 4 years has increased her production to over an acre of flowers!
They now grow ornamental flowers in rows as well as using a greenhouse and a high tunnel full of beautiful blooms. Christina and her husband, Austin Wrenn, have turned the family farm in Zebulon into a full time job alternating between strawberry and flower seasons throughout the year and this summer you’ll be able to see a multitude of flowers; zinnias, snapdragons, dahlias, celosia, cosmos, sunflowers and more. For this holiday season, Christina invites you to the farm for a new experience.
Come spend your evening at this all-natural, locally-sourced wreath making class. Everything is provided, such as the wreath form, greenery, add ins, bows, cutting tools, etc. and all greenery is pre-cut by Christina from her farm. All you’ll need to bring with you is a pair of close-toed shoes! There will also be several add-in options, including but not limited to magnolia leaves, dried Celosia and okra pods, all of which are grown or crafted by her team in advance for the class. If you are sensitive to greenery, we recommend bringing your own thick gloves to the class, but she will provide thin medical grade gloves.
Christina will demonstrate how to create the wreath, then participants will get their creative juices flowing and make their own while sipping on some hot cocoa or coffee and listening to fun holiday tunes. By the end of the class, each participant will have a wreath that will fit perfectly on their door! Finally, please note that there will likely be bees pollinating the farm at this time.
