The DIY Charcuterie Board – Woodworking Workshop and Farm Tour

Feeling a once-unfamiliar craft take shape in your own hands is a truly magical experience…
In collaboration with Verdigris Wood Shop:
Learn how to mill and sand your own charcuterie board while visiting a local ginger farm in this delightful workshop.
Participants will meet Laura Ponder and Stephen Burges. Aside from being two great people, Laura and Stephen are ginger farmers and the operators of Verdigris Wood Shop. They will walk you through a hands-on woodworking experience for you to see the process of milling logs into boards, and then you’ll have a chance to plane and sand them yourself into small cheese/charcuterie boards that you can take home to use.
This will be a light workshop with no experience necessary. The goal is for each participant to learn more about the fascinating art of woodworking and to try creating something with their own two hands.
The group will also learn about the local native trees your boards came from and some of the other unique and interesting things Laura and Stephen do as farmers.
