Beer and Cider Stroll – Discovering Whitaker Mill’s Watering Holes

March 9 @ 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm

$49.00

Will March come in like a lion or a lamb? Find out with us on the second Saturday in March as we explore the watering holes of Whitaker Mill.

We’ll meet for beer tasting and light appetizers at Lynnwood Brewing Concern, then walk about a block to East Bower Cider Co., Raleigh’s first cidery, where we’ll taste cider. If the weather is more lamb-ish, we’ll spend some time on their patio.

Along the way, we’ll explore the history of craft beer in Raleigh and learn a little history of the area. Do you know where Whitaker Mill was? We’ll learn as we go!

Your guide is Natalie Hampton, owner of Taps & Corks Tours. Natalie has been writing about North Carolina beer and wine for 12 years on the Tarheel Taps & Corks blog. She enjoys sharing her passion for North Carolina beer through walking tours, and always looks forward to winter seasonal beers and ciders.

Note: You must be 21 to participate. Tour is rain or shine. Wear good shoes for walking and clothing appropriate for the weather – we’ll be outside for at least part of our exploration. Plan to arrive at the brewery about 10 minutes early to park at Loading Dock and locate the group. Parking can be challenging, so plan accordingly.
