Sweet strawberries and even sweeter baby goats to brighten your weekend…
In collaboration with Sonlight and Arrowhead Farms:
This is a family friendly day at the farm featuring strawberries, play spaces, and cute baby critters!
Arrowhead Farms will be bringing their mobile Alpine Goat Dairy to the lovely Sonlight farms in order to introduce you to their brand new baby goats. Arrowhead is run by farmer and extraordinary person Leslie Averill, she raises beautiful alpine goats and loves to teach anyone interested about the joys of farming.
There will be milking demonstrations, a knitting machine, homemade goat soap for sale, questions and answers about kitting and farming, and of course alpine goats and possibly some other baby critters to see, play with, and learn about.
If that isn’t enough, all of this is happening at Sonlight Farms, a dedicated family farm managed by farmer April Phillips. Not only do they have play spaces for children, but April is expanding to her first strawberry crop and it will be open for picking this spring. Every ticket comes with a 1 pound bucket to fill up with fresh berries! Come spend your Saturday connecting with the people, places, and products that make our home so special.
*Children under 2 may join and participate for free! Although berry buckets will still need to be purchased.
