Event Series Event Series: Upcoming Wrenns Farm Experiences

Dried Flower Wreath Making at Wrenn’s Farm

November 7 @ 6:30 pm - 8:30 pm

$59.00

In Collaboration with Wrenn’s Farm:

Christina Wrenn began growing cut flowers four years ago after finishing her horticulture degree at NC State. She started with a single row of zinnias, all of which sold very quickly, and since then she’s increased her production to over an acre of flowersChristina and her husband Austin Wrenn now grow ornamental flowers in rows, using also a greenhouse and a high tunnel full of beautiful blooms. The couple has turned the family farm in Zebulon into a full-time job, alternating between strawberry and flower seasons throughout the year. In the summertime, you’d find zinnias, snapdragons, dahlias, celosia, cosmos, sunflowers, and more. This holiday season, however, Christina invites you to the farm for a new experience.

Dried Flower Wreath Making Class:

All of the dried greenery and dried flowers was done by Christina this summer. Everything is provided: grapevine wreath base, dried greenery, dried flowers, add-ins, bows, cutting tools, etc., and all greenery is pre-cut by Christina at her farm. All you’ll need to bring is a pair of close-toed shoes!

There will be several add-in options, including but not limited to magnolia leaves, dried celosia, and okra pods, all of which are grown or crafted by Christina’s team in advance.

Christina will first demonstrate how to create the wreath, and then participants can get their creative juices flowing by making their own while sipping on some yummy cider and eating some homemade ice cream that is made at the farm. By the end of the class, each participant will have a wreath that fits perfectly on their door! Please note that there may be bees pollinating the farm during this time.

Get creative (and cozy) with Wrenn’s Farms as you make your own wreath using all-natural, locally-sourced greenery while sipping on a hot beverage and listening to fun holiday tunes…
