In collaboration with Verdigris Wood Shop:
Join us at Verdigris Wood Shop for a hands-on workshop that transforms storm-felled trees into lasting works of art. Led by Laura Ponder and Stephen Burges—woodworkers and stewards of the land—you’ll use slices of a tree brought down by Hurricane Helene to create beautiful woodgrain prints on paper.
Through the process of inking, pressing, and revealing each unique grain pattern, you’ll capture a moment of nature’s resilience—preserving the beauty within destruction. This workshop is not only a creative experience but a meaningful way to honor the legacy of a storm and the destruction in its wake.
All materials are provided, and each participant will take home their own original print as a keepsake—a quiet impression of strength, memory, and transformation.
