In collaboration with CAM Raleigh:
Join us at the beautiful space of CAM in downtown Raleigh on Saturday to celebrate Juneteenth through art and song. This will be a jubilant artistic experience not to be missed!
This facilitated experience will invite participants to enjoy and engage with numerous local artists as they share with you Negro spirituals, African American art songs, and Black resistance music. Juneteenth is a crucial day of remembrance and celebration and whether this might be the first of many Juneteenth events for you or this may be your first Juneteenth experience ever, we would love for you to be a part.
Jubilant! is sponsored by AV Metro, The Liberation Station, The Hartford Foundation, and the CAM African American Art Collectors Guild. Additionally, some of the featured artists will be: vocalists Corey Leak, Monique McLeod, Brenda Vandervort-Miller, storyteller/poet Joy Vandervort-Cobb, and accompanist Chris Colón.
