Improv is about listening, not just to others, but to yourself…
In collaboration with Raleigh Improv Group:
Interaction can be stressful, from professional presentations to a one on one conversation; it’s easy to get stuck in your head. “Improv” is all about the practice of stepping out of your head and into yourself.
This workshop is an all-inclusive space for people to be creative and collaborative through communal improv comedy.
It will be led by the Raleigh Improv Group, a local organization founded by Tommy, Alex, and Ian, three friendly guys who want to make Improv more accessible. Their goal is to provide an environment where people of all experience levels can feel comfortable playing around and getting in touch with their silly side while also developing better listening skills and adaptability.
Together the group will embark on a 2 hour beginner workshop on Improv in the short form through curated games and activities. As we go on, the scenes and activities will be slightly longer in form and will start to take on deeper nuances.
You’ll be able to move at your own pace as we build our creative and communication skills together!
