Lemonade and Summer Shades – Flower Harvesting & Arranging Workshop

This experience is all about learning where the things you love come from. We partner with local farmers, brewers, and more to give you hands-on experiences that allow you to connect with the people growing your food, distilling your whiskey, or harvesting your honey. Put your hands in the dirt and feel Raleigh’s roots!

In collaboration with Raleigh City Farm…
This week our experience will take place with Raleigh City Farm Executive Director and Master Gardener, Lisa Grele Barrie, for a tour of their flower gardens and horticulture plantings. Sip thyme lemonade from Yellow Dog Bread Company and learn how to harvest, arrange and care for your cut flowers. You’ll be abke to take in the beauty of summer blooms and herbs including basil, celosia, coneflower, dahlia, gomphrena, limelight hydrangea, monarda, snapdragon, sunflower, yarrow and zinnia. Lemonade and wine spritzers will be provided and you’ll get to leave with your own vase of fresh flowers and lots of floral tips and tricks!
