Hey, moms love beer and cider too! Celebrate Mother’s Day early with Taps & Corks Tours, as we enjoy a weeknight happy hour on May 9, with stops at two Whitaker Mill watering holes – Lynnwood Brewing Concern and East Bower Cider Co.
We’ll meet at 6 pm for beer tasting and light appetizers at Lynnwood Brewing Concern, or order dinner here from Wilson’s on your own. Next, we’ll walk about a block to East Bower Cider Co., Raleigh’s first cidery, for more tasting. If the weather is good, we’ll spend some time on the patio. Afterward, you can explore other food and drink options in the area on your own.
Along the way, we’ll explore the history of craft beer in Raleigh and North Carolina. Do you know where Whitaker Mill was? Find out along the way!
Your guide is Natalie Hampton, owner of Taps & Corks Tours. Natalie has been writing about North Carolina beer and wine for 12 years on the Tarheel Taps & Corks blog. She enjoys sharing her passion for North Carolina beer through walking tours and always looks forward to seasonal beers and ciders.
Note: You must be 21 to participate. Tour is rain or shine. Wear good shoes for walking and clothing appropriate for the weather – we’ll be outside for at least part of our exploration. Plan to arrive at the brewery 10-15 minutes early to park at Loading Dock and locate the group. Parking can be challenging, so plan accordingly.
