Pottery among plants is perfect for inspiration…
In collaboration with Zebulon Pottery and Smith’s Nursery:
If you’ve never tried hand-building pottery, it is one of the most liberating creative experiences you can undertake.
Join pottery expert John Bruce from family-run Zebulon Pottery for an introduction to hand-building with clay in a beautiful farm setting. You’ll get to learn the basics and then be guided towards making your own unique creation. Whether you make a sculpture or a planter, there are no wrong answers and while you work John will be giving a fun demonstration of pottery wheel techniques for you to enjoy and learn about.
This event will be hosted at Smith’s Nursery, a family-owned and operated nursery and produce farm with over 40 years of experience and multiple generations joyfully inviting visitors to their home. They have a lovely farm market and after the class you can cool off with a delicious cold treat or explore the Nursery and maybe even pick some berries.
The Smiths are community driven, supporting local organizations and artists with workshops like this one, and they want their farm to be a place that families can experience together, where friends can meet for a cup of coffee, or individuals can even stop by to swing on the front porch and relax.
