There is so much joy to be found in nature’s abundance…
Come along with Daniel Woody, a leader of the Raleigh-Triangle Wild Food Foragers organization, and an incredibly seasoned forager and gardener. He has been leading foraging excursions all over the triangle area for years and knows all the best ways to safely and accurately identify what delicious and fun plants and fungi you can find and take home to try for yourself.
Let’s go for a hike while will we work on how to identify different culinary fungi and discuss their nutritional values. Some things we may find on our forage adventure are Dryad’s Saddle, Mica Cap, Yellow Morel, Black Morel, Half-Free Morel, Oyster Mushroom, Deer Mushroom, and Wine Caps.
