In collaboration with Sweet Peas Urban Gardens…
This weekend we’re learning the art of cyanotype photograms with local artist Sarah Ann Austin-Bagley at an incredible urban farm that is making a big difference!
Sarah has taught art courses at universities and colleges across the nation and has been recognized nationally by the Hand Papermaking Publication as an incredible and sustainable paper maker.
While surrounded by Sweet Peas many plants and projects, Sarah will guide you through the art of capturing breathtaking “shadows” on her handmade paper. Cyanotype photograms are created with coated paper, creativity, and light exposure. As an added treat, while your photograms are being processed by the sun, you will also get to tour Sweet Peas Urban Gardens with owner Tami Purdue. She will showcase just how much can be accomplished in an urban landscape, from micro-greens to 20-foot-tall flowers and more!
*All supplies are included plus you’ll get to take home half a dozen photograms of your own creation!
**If the weather calls for rain or a cloudy day with low UV, the event will be rescheduled for 11/13/2022. Photograms require adequate sun exposure to fully develop**
