In collaboration with Tarheel Taps & Corks:
Pull out your ugliest holiday sweater and come along with us as we visit a brewery and cidery in the Whitaker Mill neighborhood! For this Saturday afternoon event, take a break from your holiday shopping and enjoy tasting local beer and cider, along with light appetizers. We’ll also explore the history of craft beer in Raleigh and North Carolina.
The guest wearing the ugliest sweater will win a Taps & Corks Tours t-shirt. You may even help Santa out by discovering some beers or ciders that would make great stocking stuffers!
The locations – Lynnwood Brewing Concern and East Bower Cider Co. – are just a short walk from each other. We’ll meet Lynnwood Brewing Concern for beer and appetizers, then walk to nearby East Bower Cidery. Weather permitting, we’ll hang out in the outdoor space that makes these three locations so appealing.
Your guide is Natalie Hampton, owner of Taps & Corks Tours. Natalie has been writing about North Carolina beer and wine for 12 years on the Tarheel Taps & Corks blog. She enjoys sharing her passion for North Carolina beer through walking tours, and always looks forward to fall seasonal beers and ciders. Jingle all the way!
Note: You must be 21 to participate. Tour is rain or shine. Wear good shoes for walking and clothing appropriate for the weather – we’ll be outside for at least part of our exploration. Plan to arrive at the brewery 10 minutes early to park at the venue and locate the group.
