Sophie’s Grill and Bar is a family endeavor helmed by first-generation immigrants to America. Owner and Chef Desislava, or “Desi,” hails from Bulgaria and opened her restaurant as a way to share the love and hospitality of her grandmother’s cooking. Her staff is comprised of Chef Cristina from Romania, Sommelier Dalibor from Serbia, and Pastry Chef Neli, also from Bulgaria.
With a larger space, Sophie’s Grill and Bar is capable of hosting up to 200 guests and is a perfect location for your next event or private party. Desi’s guests keep coming back for the fine dining experiences, the wide beverage selection, and the regularly-scheduled entertainment.
Desi Nikolova wishes to bring attention to the Old-World family recipes she brought with her from Bulgaria to America. She truly feels that her homeland’s cuisine is at risk of being overlooked, and she works hard to share it at Sophie’s Grill and Bar. Desi’s carefully curated staff additionally contributes their own family recipes to the fine dining experience in the Cary restaurant. With a full bar, handmade cocktails, and local produce from area farmer’s markets (when seasonally available), Sophie’s strives to support the community while offering guests a truly authentic and unique experience.
Sophie’s Grill and Bar is a place to bring the entire family for a beautiful meal in a delightful atmosphere. They will be happy to accommodate any dinner meal and can add live music on for an additional fee.
