Join local artist Sarah Ann Austin-Bagley for a personal experience walking you through the Art of Journal Making. The experience will begin with Sarah explaining the paper-making process and the unique upcycling techniques she uses to form the base of her paper.

On the day of your experience with Sarah, you will delve into the art of capturing shadows with cyanotype photograms. This whimsical art form of using shadow over paper to create beautiful imagery allows you to creatively let loose while imbuing your journal with a deep sense of meaning from the objects you select. You may design precisely captured prints of tiny wildflower arrangements, uniquely layered textures, or abstractly imagined shadowscapes. Sarah will then guide you through the process of hand-binding your finished photograms into a cover-bound journal for you to take with you and enjoy.

You will go home with a one-of-a-kind journal that you created with a nationally recognized paper maker along with the memories and knowledge of hands-on learning about a beautiful and unique art form.
