Better than Bouquets – A Mother’s Day Flower Workshop with Hope Blooms Farm

May 11 @ 11:00 am - 12:30 pm

$39.00

Bouquets are beautiful but planters are permanent…

In Collaboration with Old North State Food Hall:

With Mother’s Day just around the corner, this workshop is an opportunity to give the gift of flowers that will keep blooming all through the season. Give this to someone special in your life or use this as the perfect opportunity for you to treat yourself and be able to look at fresh flowers every single morning.

Led by flower-loving farmer, Johnsie Taylor of Hope Blooms Farms, she will provide the plants, the pots, and the expertise for you to design a beautiful spring planter. All the plants will be brought from her own farm and she will walk you through the process of situating your flowers both to look beautiful and stay healthy. You’ll leave with the blooms of your choosing and the knowledge of how to best care for your new planter as long as possible.

Hope Blooms Farm started in 2018 as a dream of the Taylor Family. Johnsie Taylor grew up on a farm watching her grandmother and mother grow roses and peonies and made up her mind that some day she would grow beautiful flowers too. When the opportunity arose to purchase a farm and realize their dream, they jumped at it. Now, they look forward to sharing their dream with others.

Lastly, our hosting venue will be the Old North State Food Hall, located directly off of I-95, and boasting as the nation’s first roadside food hall. We will be meeting in The Longleaf Tavern, built inside the walls of an old cigar humidor, and acting as the perfect private space for a fun afternoon workshop.
