In collaboration with Smith’s Nursery:
Try out the craft of leather-work in this hand-sewing workshop hosted at Smith’s Nursery. You’ll leave with a leather belt of your very own creation and the knowledge of how to make one on your own.
The folks from S.I.T Wood and Leather, located in Benson NC, will be your experts in this workshop. They will be walking you through the process of cutting and then binding your leather into the exact length and shape you need before putting on the finishing touches.
S.I.T is a custom leather shop and saddle repair specialist that pride themselves on selling high-quality leather and leather products. Whether you’re in need of a new saddle, a saddle repair, a custom leather holster, a personalized leather bag, or something more they’ve got you covered.

This event will be hosted at Smith’s Nursery, a family-owned and operated nursery and produce farm with over 40 years of experience and multiple generations joyfully inviting visitors to their home. They have a lovely farm market and after the class you can cool off with a delicious cold treat or explore the Nursery and maybe take home some plants.
The Smiths are community driven, supporting local organizations and artists with workshops like this one, and they want their farm to be a place that families can experience together, where friends can meet for a cup of coffee, or individuals can even stop by to swing on the front porch and relax.
