In collaboration with Bad Art Co:
Using paper, collage, paint, drawing, and coloring, this workshop will feature the creation of art inspired by tarot, oracle, and playing cards.
Facilitated by a local artist and the founder of Bad Art Co, Shady Kimzey, they will lead your group through this fun workshop pulling inspiration from one of humanity’s most iconic art sources. Participants are definitely encouraged to bring their own tarot, oracle or card deck to utilize and to personalize their inspiration as much as possible.
Shady will begin this experience with a discussion of the history of tarot artists and common archetypes seen in tarot cards. You will then get to look at a few examples of card-inspired art before moving into an open art space for individuals to create work of their own!
